We are going to Mars!
So I pick Emma up from school. I asked how her day was and what she did, the usual conversation. She said that her, Miss Jessica, and Parker are going to that red place. I said "red place?" She said "yeah, mars". Then she said "you and Eeyore can go too, but we will need to bring the tv". She has to be the funniest kid with the most dramatic imagination ever. I love her.

Emma runs away for the 1st time at age 4!
Sunday Emma got mad at Kevin and I for some reason I don't even remember. Her and Kevin were arguing when she said she was going to live with another family. Kevin said "fine, go, you know where the door is". So she walked out the front door, but never went past the walkway. We stood there and watched her out the window. She was out there for about 5 seconds, then came back in, slammed the door, and said "fine. I will just stay because there are bugs out there!" Funny girl.

Emma has her first soccer game.
So it's time for Emma's very first soccer game. I'm so nervous because I have no idea how she is going to do and more nervous because I don't know how she is going to embarrass me. We all know it's going to happen. Mom, Cade, Emma, and I get there. Papa, Abby, and Hope are there waiting to watch her first game. Kevin had to work, but I have the camcorder in hand. For whatever reason the coach decided to put Emma in to start the game! She kicked the ball and down the field she went. She actually did pretty good. Then... I saw her running off the field in the middle of the game to go talk to some lady and to pet her dog! Really? The next incident came when she ran off the field to get some water. Her coach come running after her saying "come on Emma we are in the middle of the game". She said "wait, I have to get some water". I bet he is wondering why he signed up for this, but he seemed to be entertained by her like most are. Then in the middle of a play, I see the coach bent down on her level telling her what she needed to do and she just ignored him and hugged him. She hugged him a few more times during the game for no apparent reason. There were a few more incidents, but all in all, it went well, but she definately entertained the crowd!

Someone is trying to break into our house... wait... no... it's just Cade.
So Emma's screen on her window has been bent for a few months now, but when I came home today it was actually broken and obviously tampered with. So mother mode kicks in and I automatically freak out thinking someone is trying to break in and take my child. I ask Cade if he knew what happened to the screen he said no he really didn't know. I called Kevin to tell him about it, he didn't have any explaination. So I worry all night trying to come up with some sort of reasonable explaination other than someone trying to break in and take my child. I told Kevin that she would be sleeping with us for a while. He said "well let me go look at the window". He came back out and said if someone was trying to get in they did because the window was still cracked open and there is a shoe print on the window seal. He called Cade downstairs and asked him about it again. Cade confessed. He said "Yes, it was me. I lost my key so I left the window open before I left for school so I had a way back in." I was furious. I said "So you didn't mind that I was worrying myself sick because I thought someone was trying to break in and take your sister. Not only that, but you even left the window open after breakin in so if anyone was contemplating breaking in... you just made it easier for them by leaving the window open!" I love him, but his way of thinking sometimes doesn't make much sense. Why wouldn't he just say, hey I lost my key can I have one of the many spares that we have? I keep hoping one day it's going to click...

Emma, she just likes people...
So considering Kevin and I are not huge fans of people, we are really confused why and how Emma is such a people person. She just loves people. Isn't scared of strangers at all. Which her teachers and I have tried to have the "stranger danger" talk and she's just not accepting it.
Last week her and I went to the grocery store where we met Jerry. Jerry is just some random elderly man, Emma decided to talk to while we stood in the lunch meat section of the grocery store. She said "hey do you know my name?' Jerry said "no, what does it start with?' She said "E". He said, "Is it Emily". She said "no silly, it's Emma". The conversation went on from there as I tried to come up with a plan to allow this nice old man to escape. When I finally got away, I needed a few more things to get and I actually scoped out the different isles to determine which isles would be the safest to go down. Meaning the isles with not many people for Emma to strike up a conversation with. I know. She just wanted to talk, but if I let her talk to people as much as she wanted... it would take me three hours in the grocery store!
A few days after the usual grocery indicent, Emma and I went to the YMCA to sign her up for soccer which she was absolutely thrilled about. While the girl took us in the back to get Emma's uniform, there was another lady sitting at a desk looking at the computer infront of her. Without warning or anything Emma walked right up to her and hugged her. Didn't say a word, just hugged her. The lady looked at me as if to ask "should I know who this little girl is hugging me?" All I could say was "I'm sorry, she just really likes people." The woman realized Emma was just being friendly to a total stranger and said "well you just made my day". Emma said "why? where you waiting for me to come give you a hug?" So ofcourse the conversation went on from there until I had to practically drag her out and told her we would see the woman some other time.
